You might want a more business look if you were in DECA in high school so a metal, plain background might be perfect for you. Each of these backgrounds can add so much to pictures while also drastically changing the tone of the image.
There is metal, brick, colorful graffiti walls, wood. And if you do and your vision has more of a downtown, urban vibe, this would be a fantastic location to shoot at! The RiNo District offers a lot of different types of backgrounds. Dont, get me wrong, those backgrounds are amazing, but you might want to stray from that. If you have ever looked through past year books, you might have noticed that most senior portraits are in a more natural environment. If you are unsure of where to take senior pictures, below are the top 3 locations that we shoot at that are central to the Denver Metro Area and check so many clients “must haves” for backgrounds.

Now, once you have decided what type of backdrop you are looking for, then you can start playing with specific locations. Narrowing down what you want your backdrop to be is the first step to deciding where to take your senior pictures. If you are struggling with deciding where you want to take senior pictures… start by asking yourself if you want urban or rural? Then move to more specific questions like water or forest or flowers? Or maybe you want a little bit of all of that. It ensures that we capture what you are looking for while also adding a bit of surprise in there as well. The vision can include more than that but having that in your mind is super helpful for the photographer. It should include things like background, outfits, props, poses.
